An ND 1 student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Ondo State, identified as Alayori Ademola, has passed on.
According to multiple sources, the deceased was allegedly sh@t on his leg by Amotekun operatives and kept in their custody for four days.
“According to a voice note recorded by Ademola before his demise, he said the Amotekun operatives stormed his house and hara$sed him and his brothers. They were be@ten before he was sh@t on the leg by the officers. He noted that the Amotekun officers took him to their office and kept him in a cell for days.
Ademola revealed he was d¥mped in a cell with a dog and left on the floor for the dog to lick his wounds. He was kept there until a family member came to plead for his release. He was quickly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, where he d#ed.
This is a sad occurrence for us at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic. We urge the Ondo State Government to act on this matter. Already, the students are embarking on a protest demanding justice over the de@th of Ademola,” a source familiar with the incident said.
