Confirming the unfortunate incident in a statement, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the coll@pse could be linked to the torrential rain fall in Lagos.

According to NEMA spokesman, Ibrahim Farinloye, the building is located at Freeman Road on Lagos Island.

Also, the permanent secretary, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement said the building was sealed by the LASBCA District Office but the developer had continued clandestine operations mostly at night and at the weekends.
