SARS and police operatives swung into action yesterday, Friday, August 28th, 2020, to arrest two out of five men who allegedly gang-raped a 15-year-old girl in Abraka, Delta State .
The men arrested are identified as Solomon and Okpolor. They were apprehended following a tip-off from an informant who approached Advocate Harrison Gwamnishu who then involved the police .
It was gathered that the victim who’s an orphan and lives with her uncle, has been molested severally by her benefactor and turned into a sex slave.
“Her uncle whom she lives with, has been molesting her since she was 10 and gave her as unofficial wife to an old bikeman whom she now lives with and performs sexual duties of a wife to.
Solomon and Okpolor, who are her neighbors took turns to defile her on August 14, 2020, with three other men in the former’s house and was given N50 to keep mute.
The victim told a friend of her ordeal and that’s how Advocate Harrison got involved.” a source said.
Although three of the suspects are still at large, DPO Abraka Division, Mr. Hassan, said investigations were ongoing and they’d be brought to book.
