Over 90 individuals were arrested after demonstrations organized by far-right groups escalated into ri3ts across various UK towns and cities on Saturday. The unrest spread through Hull, Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Blackpool, and Belfast, where missiles were thrown, shops were looted, and police officers were atta3ked.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has assured police forces of the government’s “full support” to take decisive action against “extremists” aiming to “sow h**e”.
Tensions have been high following the k+lling of three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party by alleged knifeman Axel Muganwa Rudakubana in Southport, Merseyside, on Monday, July 29.
On Sunday afternoon, angry far-right thugs stormed into a hotel housing Asylum seekers and set a fire, TheMirror Uk reports. Hundreds of vi3lent anti-immigration protesters clad in balaclavas and draped in St George’s flags clashed with officers trying to protect the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. At least one cop has been inj¥red in the chaos outside the hotel on the northern outskirts of the post-industrial town, Daily Mail reports.
It marks yet another day of vi3lent riots of Britain’s streets, after chaos ensued this week leaving cops with broken bones, cars set on fire and innocent pedestrians targeted on the streets. While photos from the scene have shown some occupants looking out of the hotel window onto rioters, it is still unclear if the migrants and asylum seekers housed in the property have been able to evacuate.
One person’s face was seen completely covered with a Union Jack mask while they waved a large England flag outside the hotel while others swung back cans of bears while chanting offensiv3 slogan
Meanwhile, a video that has gone viral on social media shows a vilent mob in Manchester, UK attaking a black man. The mob, all white men and women, can be seen kiking and pnching the man until police stepped intervened. In Liverpool, a video showed a British woman atta3k a black lady while some men observed and did nothing to save the victim. Also, in Manchester, some demonstrators called ‘native patriots’ Inch3d a black man.
However, British PM, Sir Keir Starmer, on Sunday, cond3mned the recent att3cks and vowed to do “whatever it takes to bring these thugs to justice” as he addressed the nation amid rioting in UK streets. “I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder either directly or those whipping up this disorder online,” Sir Keir Starmer said.
Referring to an atta3k on a hotel in Rotherham currently under way, he said: “There is no justification for taking this action.
People in this country have a right to be safe and yet we have seen Muslim communities targeted and attacks on mosques.”
Sir Keir said he would not “shy away from calling it what it is” and branded the vilence “far-right thuggery”.To those who feel targeted because of the colour of your skin or your faith I know how frightening this must be,” he said. “I want you to know this vilent mob do not represent this country and we will bring them to justice.”
