A Nigerian man has written as he shared how he saved a fellow passenger who was unjustly arrested using the Police Complaint Platform.
He said he was transiting between Ibadan and Oyo town in a commercial vehicle. While at Moniya axis they were stopped by the SRS team of Nigerian police. After searching everyone, the guy sitting beside me (Abdulmujib) @PoliceNG @YeleSowore
A 200-level student of computer science from Kwara State University was taken away in a white customized car without any explanation as to why they took him away. So, he called the Police complaint platform 09022222352) at about 10:00 am.
He spoke to a woman – a police officer and she asked me to locate any officer at the nearest police checkpoint, which I did. The policewoman spoke with the officer on the phone, and they waited about 20 minutes. Lo & behold, they brought the guy back to them and even apologized.
He was just happy that justice was served immediately. Thank you @PoliceNG for the wonderful platform to correct police officers excesses.
