Pastor, two others arrested for tr@fficking 12 children in Abuja

Police operatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested a Pastor, identified as Simon Kado, and two others for allegedly tr@fficking 12 children from Nasarawa State.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, who paraded the suspects in Abuja, said they were arrested by the operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS 74), on Friday, February 9.

He said the operatives intercepted one Muhammad Isah of Kafanchan, Kaduna State in a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number APP 489 XE, conveying the 12 children, comprising four males and eight females.

According to him, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the children whose ages are between 5 years to 16 years, all from Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa state were being tr@fficked to Ogun state by one Pastor Simon Kado ‘m’ and Jesse Simon Kado ‘m’, who are now presently in police custody.

Investigation is still ongoing and effort in conduit with Nasarawa state police command on how to reunite victims with their respective families.”
