On April 9, the incident took place in the state’s Emouha region. A white-clad man was sp@nked and fl%gged by a police officer wearing his normal black outfit in the video.
The police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that the perpetrators of the a§§ault had been detained and given instructions to report to the force headquarters in response to the viral nature of the video.
Adejobi claimed in a statement that Ndiwa Kpuebari, a sergeant, had been’severely reprimanded’ for his involvement in the event, while Adejoh Siaka had been relegated to the rank of sergeant.
Inspector Friday Obaka, who was not present at the incident, was also unconditionally released.
The police spokesperson urged the public to disregard the outdated footage that has been misrepresented as a recent occurrence on social media.
