A seminarian, Naam Stephen Ngofe Danlami, has been k#lled in an att@ck by bandits at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the bandits stormed the parish house at about 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, and s£t it abl@ze alongside a vehicle.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased seminarian di£d from the smoke he inhaled while trying to escape from the grasp of the att@ckers.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, ASP Mansir Alhassan, confirmed the incident in a statement.
The Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Very Rev Fr Emmanuel Okolo, and his assistant escaped during the att@ck.
While confirming the incident, the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said the seminarian was about completing his training into the Catholic priesthood.
