At a finance summit attended by world leaders in Paris on Friday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized the significance of harmony, investment, and equitable partnerships in addressing global challenges.
Ramaphosa also emphasized the difficulties African countries had in getting access to vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ramaphosa who advocated for open access to markets, asserted that “Africa should never be seen as a continent that needs generosity, we want to be treated as equals.”At the summit, developed countries received their long-delayed $100 billion climate finance commitment, and wealthy nations also established a fund for the conservation of biodiversity and forests.
