Protest as policeman reportedly k#ll a 24-yr-old generator engineer in Lagos

The youths in Oregun, Ikeja area of Lagos State on Monday morning, May 29, took to the street to protest over the d£ath of a 24-year-old generator engineer, identified as Idris Jagun, who was allegedly k#lled by a policeman.

It was gathered that the Idris lost his life after he was h#t by a stray b¥llet allegedly fir£d by the suspect, identified simply as officer Kabiru, on Sunday night, May 28.

According to eyewitnesses reports, some youngsters were fi¥hting on Oregun road at about 10.30pm when an Alausa police station van on patrol drove to the scene.

The policemen were said to have come down from the van and in a bid to disperse the crowd, officer Kabiru sh%t into the crowd and the b¥lle t h#t Idris on his thigh.

He was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed d£ad by a medical doctor.
