Lagos petrol station called out for allegedly charging customers N1,200 extra for every purchase

A petrol station in Lagos has been called out for allegedly charging customers N1200 extra for every purchase.

Owing to the country’s lack of supply and rising price of gasoline, a gas station in Lagos is said to have drastically increased rates, charging customers N1200 more for each transaction.

The NNPC-branded gas station in issue only accepts new Naira notes in cash and does not accept transfers, POS, or old m oney.

But, they ceased selling when buyers refused to pay those outrageous costs. A customer who was interviewed expressed frustration over having taken the initiative to obtain the new Naira note of N9000 in order to purchase fuel. He was informed that he could only purchase fuel valued at N7,800 because N1200 would be deducted from his funds, but he refused and was unable to do so.
