Why you shouldn’t make your first-born children overly responsible for their younger siblings — Psychotherapist tells parents

A physiotherapist has cautioned parents against placing undue pressure and responsibilities on their first-born children because the impact on their cognitive process isn’t healthy.

According to her, placing family responsibilities on a first-born child at an early age robs the of a normal childhood experience and makes them have a high threshold for emotional distress.
