There was panic on Sunday night, September 18, following an expl@sion in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba state.
It was gathered that incident occurred at about 9:35pm close to the First Roundabout leading to the Taraba State University.
Confirming the incident to newsmen on Monday, Usman Abdullahi, police public relations officer (PPRO) in Taraba, said nobody was hurt in the expl@sion. However, buildings were destr@yed.
He said the command’s anti-bomb squad was deployed in the area, and that an investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the expl@sion.
“No casualty, nobody sustained inj#ry. It was a bl@st. Last night, the anti-bomb was there. We are waiting for the result,” he was quoted as saying.
