NPF dismisses officer captured a§§aulting a civilian with a m@tchete in Cross River State

The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed Police Corporal Okoi Liyomo, who was captured a§§aulting a civilian with a m@tchete in Ekori, Cross River State.

It would be recalled that a video of the policeman went viral last week. In the video he was seen using the flat side of a m@tchete to repeatedly h#t a man.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, had ordered the trial of Liyomo after the viral video surfaced on the internet.

Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement on Monday, August 8, disclosed that the erring officer has now be dismissed from the force following a meeting with the IGP in Abuja.
