Just In: Pastor, others arrested as police rescue over 50 kid@pped children from an underground church in Ondo

Scores of children allegedly kidn@pped have been discovered in a church’s basement in the Valentino Area of Ondo town, Ondo West LGA of Ondo State.

It was gathered that the children, who are over 50, were discovered and rescued on Friday evening, July 2, 2022.

According to reports, the kids were allegedly victims of a kidn@pping syndicate and kept in the underground of the church.

The pastor of the church and some members of the church have been detained by the police.

SP Funmilayo Odunlami, the state command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development stating that the victims have been brought to the police headquarters in Akure.
