A medical doctor identified as Damola is writhing in p#ins after his girlfriend of five years, Opeyemi Odekomaya, allegedly scalded his skin with h*t rice in Lagos.
It was gathered that the suspect who is a pharmacist in December, 2021, had a misunderstanding with the victim over alleged infidelity. A source familiar with the matter said, “They’ve been dating right from their days in Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
Apparently, the girl has been cheating on him with other guys but he decided to confront her about it. An argument ensued and he thre#tened to end the relationship.
Her cousin was present at the scene and was discussing with the victim when Opeyemi went to the kitchen and removed the pot of rice she was cooking and p#ured it on Damola as he was seated in the living room.
Damola suffered severe b#rns and the suspect was arrested and kept in police detention for a few days to reflect on her life. She was released and unabashed about her actions, she sent a message to the victim’s parents saying, ‘See what your son made me do’.
She was arrested again and attempted to end it all in a bid to evade arrest. Ope went as far as spreading fallacious allegations that Damola attempted to r#pe and str#ngle her so she had to defend herself by scalding him with h*t rice.
This is someone that Damola has spent a lot of money on and sent her on luxury vacations. He hasn’t been able to show up at work because of his predicament while Ope remains unrepentant about her actions.”
