The Adamawa State Police Command, on September 7, arrested a 19-year-old girl, Rumasau Muhammed for st*bbing her 35-year-old husband to d*ath.
According to the police spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspect st*bbed Muhammed Adamu with a kn*fe after seeking for divorce and the deceased refused. Angered by his refusal to divorce her after several requests by her, the suspect committed the act and the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced d*ad.
Investigation revealed that Rumasau was forcefully married to the deceased by her parents against her will on August 6, and the marriage lasted for only three weeks before the u*ly incident.
