COVID-19 second wave: Lagos shuts down schools, night clubs, others with immediate effect



Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the closure of schools, night clubs, concerts, carnivals and street parties in the state, till further notice.


In a statement on Friday, December 18, the governor also ordered that all Places of Worship (Churches, Mosques, etc.) must ensure that no gathering exceeds two hours, and also that no gathering exceeds 50% of the maximum capacity of the Venue.


This comes a day after the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 disclosed that there are indications that Nigeria has entered the second wave of infections.
