Justice For Mohbad: Court exonerates Naira Marley and Sam Larry; Nurse and Friend to Face Trial

A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, has discharged popular singer Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, in connection with the d+ath of Aloba Oladimeji IleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad.

Presiding Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, following legal advice from the Lagos Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), ruled that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

Also freed were music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP stated that Mohbad’s auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and his friend, Ayobami Sadiq, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts, as outlined under Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

Their trial will proceed at the Magistrate Court.
