Plateau residents protest over sack of Gov. Mutfwang by Appeal Court

Protest erupted in Jos, Plateau State, on Sunday, November 19, following the dismissal of governor Caleb Mutfwang by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Recall that the appellate court on Sunday morning set aside the judgement of the governorship election tribunal that upheld the election of Mutfwang as governor of the state.

The court declared Dr Nentawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the governorship election and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a fresh certificate of return to him.

However, immediately after the news of the judgement broke out, residents of Jos took to the street to stage a protest
