EFCC arrests Singer Sanij-D over alleged £9,300 internet fr@ud, others

A Nigerian musician, Aniji Shedrack Chidubem aka Sanij-D, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged internet fr@ud.

The suspect, who was arrested in the Kuje Area Council of Abuja, allegedly defr@uded a Briton, Susan Mclean, the sum of £9,300 and an American: Diana Rosado Gonzalax, the sum of $2,000.

He was arrested based on credible intelligence on the activities of a syndicate of internet fr@udsters, EFCC said in a statement on Monday, October 16.

“Chidubem allegedly impersonated one Christopher Rossi, a marine engineer that fixes boats and pipelines in Singapore. He was using Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp applications, with foreign phone numbers, as his fr@udulent means of perpetrating and defr@uding his victims,” the statement reads.
