A member of the notorious Iceland C¥lt gang led by 2Baba Gift David Okpara Okpolowu alias 2 Baba who is wanted over the m¥rder of SP Bako Angbashim, the Divisional Police Officer DPO Ahoada in Rivers State has been captured.
Although the Rivers State Police command is yet to officially confirm the arrest, a trending video showing the suspect with hands bo¥nd behind him sitting inside a tyre as he was being interrogated by some policemen.
Answering questions from his interrogators, the suspect whose name cannot yet be confirmed, revealed that his gang leader, 2 Baba is well fortified supernaturally with charms as well as guns and ammunition.
He said the kingpin has over 40 assorted rifles in his arsenal. He also claimed that 2 Baba is well connected to some unnamed influential personalities in the state.
“I swear, won’t lie to you 2 Baba has g¥ns. Over 40 different rifles.”
Asked how the gang leader got the the arms and ammunition, the suspect said 2 Baba usually gets in touch with his supplier through phone calls after transferring the agreed amount and members of his gang are always in the picture of negotiation. “He will just tell us his supplier has supplied. We don’t get to know how the transactions are made”.
The arrested suspect also confirmed that 2 Baba and members of the gang k#lled and di§membered the remains of SP Bako Angbashim. But he said he did not take part in the m¥rder of the police officer or know where his corpse was buried.
He added that 2 Baba was fortified with charms by a w#tch doctor from the Ogoni axis of the State. He said the w#tchdoctor helped them to k#ll the DPO spiritually to enable them defeat the gallant .
He said: “I will not lie, when they k#lled the DPO, I was not there. I was across the river. I will not lie, I have human conscience. When they brought the DPO I did not see him. I swear. I don’t know where
they buried him. But I know where they brought him.
2Baba has over 40 gYns. since I went there, the persons that supplies guns for him, he called the person on phone, pays the person then they will supply the guns. I don’t know him. The place we were before I ran out of the place they are still there. 2Baba has many people that call him that discuss with him. There are many people that work with him, but he does not tell us. The nativedoctor, he came from Ogoni. He is short. Anything he did with theman they did not tell us his boys.”
It was learnt that the suspect was captured following an intensive manhunt by Police which began on September 8 when the Ahoada Division Police Officer was k#lled.
In another video, a fellow yet-to-be identified member of the drEaded c¥It group was also arrested. He confirmed that they b¥ried the DPO in a community in Rivers State after k#lling him.
It was also gathered some other k#llers of the late DPO are in police custody, while some escaped with gYnshot wonds as the security agencies intensified their operations.
It would be recalled that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had slammed a N100m bounty on 2 Baba and his members while the Rivers Police Command added N1m as a reward for whoever can volunteer credible information that would lead to his arrest.
