There was pandemonium in Igbo-Etche, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after a Rottweiler k#lled its owner’s child.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident happened on Monday, July 17. A source reports that the victim’s father had released two of his dogs to protect his kids in the compound as he went out to work. “This happened yesterday in my area. The boy’s father was on his way to work when he received a call that one of his dogs had ma¥led his son to d£ath.
According to him, the five dogs were very familiar with his kids reason he released only two to guard the compound. He noted that sometimes, his four years old son usually put the dogs in their cages so he had no inkling that something of this nature could happen.
By the time he returned home, he met his son d£ad in the pool of his bl@@d. He was told that the dog also inj¥red the boy’s sister if not for the timely intervention of neighbors who k#lled the pet.
Also, we gathered from the veterinary doctor that some dogs develop m+ntal issues after five years and he had advised them to sell or k#ll the dog. Apparently, the dog had been with the family for seven years. It was such a g%ry sight to behold and I pray God comforts the family in these trying times,” a source familiar with the incident reports.
