Friends mourn as MAUTECH lecturer di£s in Abuja flood

Friends and family are mourning the demise of Philip Azubuike, a lecturer at Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) in Yola, Adamawa State, who was sw£pt away by flood in Abuja.

Azubuike, a lecturer with the Physics Department, was sw£pt away in his Peugeot 406 car by the flood that occurred at Trademore Estate in Lugbe area of Abuja on Friday, June 23.

It was gathered that his corpse was recovered from the canal by the entrance of the estate.

Several residents said they saw the victim struggling to come out of the Peugeot car when the flood started

According to Premium Times, a motorist who witnessed the incident said: “We saw him on the top of his vehicle trying to avoid the flood, but later we did not see him again.”
