A team of police officers has been captured br¥tally a§§aulting a student of Abia State University (ABSU) in Uturu.
It was gathered that the policemen, who were at least six in number, att@cked the student during a stop-and-search on Saturday, June 17.
In a video obtained, more than three of the policemen, believed to be from the anti-c¥ltism squad, were seen sl@pping, p¥nching and k+cking the student as they forced him into their vehicle.
According to an eyewitness report, “They put up a check point in front of the ABSU extension along Umudike road and they were stopping any keke that passes with young guys inside. They will tell you to come down then collect your phone from you and search you for any other thing and tell you to enter inside the bus.
I was with my friends and they told me and one of my friends to enter inside the bus. The guy resisted, demanding to know what crime he committed and why was being arrested, they didn’t reply.
I and some of the other guys inside the bus started raising our voices, demanding to know what crime we committed but they said nothing instead they thr£at£n£d us.
The bus was unmarked with no plate number, the men had no badges on them and when I requested that they show an ID that actually proves they are policemen or I’ll call the SP, they thr£at£n£d to d£al with me…(continue reading from NEXT Slide).
