Just In: Army and Navy are responsible for 99% of oil th£ft in Nigeria — Dokubo tells Pres. Tinubu

Prominent Niger Delta leader, Asari Dokubo, has said over 99 per cent of oil th£ft in the country is carried out by the army and navy.

Speaking shortly after a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on Friday, June 16, Dokubo also alleged that the people perpetuating oil bunkering in the Niger Delta region are powerful cabals most times operating from Abuja with the entitlement mentality

He stated that the President has promised to investigate allegations of huge oil bunkering by notorious naval commanders that are kingpins, and promised to take decisive action to halt the sh@meful act.

The former militant leader argued that ordinary Niger Delta citizens who are often blamed for oil th£ft are not responsible, as they do not have the wherewithal to perform such sophisticated act of st£aling.

According to him, “We discussed the issues of security and oil th£ft in Niger Delta. Myself and my brothers assured Mr. President that there will be no more oil th£ft in the Niger Delta.

The military is at the centre of oil th£ft. 99 per cent of oil th£ft can be traced to the Nigeria military, the army and the navy.

The army and navy intimidate the Civil Defence that have the responsibility to protect the oil facilities. The main culprits are the army and the navy.

There are notorious army commanders that are kingpins in the oil th£ft. The military men are busy st£aling. The insurgents are harvesting from Nigeria military and police to further their criminality.

I volunteered to help to see to an end this evil. I can take b¥llet for Tinubu.”
