Police operatives in Osun State have arrested a 28-year-old man, identified as Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe, for allegedly vi%lating the social media policy on h@t£ speech.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday, June 15, weeks after he tweeted, “Let’s k#ll all the Igbos. Let’s fl¥sh them out of Yoruba lands. I h@t£ these people with passion. They are vi%l£nt people. They are wor§t. They h@t£ us. Let’s h@t£ th£m without holding back.”
The command in a statement said the suspect was arrested at Ilesa where he hibernated following an intelligence led investigation by men of the Cyber crime section at SCID Osogbo.
“The suspect has confessed to the crime, and he will be charged to the court after the completion of the investigation,” the statement reads.
