Actress Iyabo Ojo has lamented over the N18 million income tax bill she received from Lagos government.
She claimed that even after paying various taxes on her previous enterprises, residence, and other items, the tax office nevertheless presented her with this enormous bill and gave her seven days to make payment. She continued by saying that the previous time she was requested to visit their office, she complied and was asked to explain and declare her income, which she did with the help of her tax advisor.
She asserted that the tax office ignored her letter because they demanded that she give them an excessive sum of money that she cannot not afford.
She continued by saying that she had received zero benefits from the Lagos state government and that she was unwilling to pay any more.
