“I’m sad to leave Nigeria,” Outgoing British envoy tells Pres. Buhari

The outgoing British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has said she is sad to leave the country having spent “a fabulous time” engaging with its music, dance and culture.

Speaking at a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock villa on Wednesday, April 5, Laing said: “I’m sad to be leaving. Nigeria is so much fun, I had a fabulous time here, and I will be back. I love the dance, music, and culture.

It’s been good to experience Nigeria. I’ve been to over 20 states, and I have told my successor to also do the same.”
