Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested a young lady who allegedly st%le N200k at a provision store in Iyana Ipaja area of the state.
It was gathered that the lady sneaked into the store on Wednesday morning, January 25, grabbed the said sum and hid it in her underwear.
“She sneaked into the store as soon as the owner stepped out. She used hijab and pretended as though she wanted to buy something. She took the money and immediately put it in her underwear.
Unfortunately for her, the owner actually went to the next store to get something and as soon as the lady turned to leave the store, the owner came in.
I think the owner saw her putting the money in her underwear and immediately apprehended her,” a source narrated.
The lady, who was later taking to the police station by the store owner, said she st%le the money because she was h¥ngry.
