Blackout as national grid coll@pses for the 6th time in 2022 .

Several cities in Nigeria, including the federal capital Abuja, were on Sunday, June 12, thrown into darkness following the colla@pse of the national grid, the sixth reported coll@pse in 2022.

It was gathered that the grid coll@pse on Sunday evening leading to the shutdown of the outgoing electricity feeders of some power distribution companies.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and the Jos Electricity Distribution Plc confirmed the development in statements to their customers.

It would be recalled that the national grid had coll@psed in April, as a result of vand@lism on a transmission tower, leading to a loss of about 400 megawatts of electricity, according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
