Prisoner who escaped during the jailbreak in Benin, rearrested in Ogun

The police in Ogun state have arrested Obehi Ehis Frank Ogbeh, who escaped from Edo prison after hoodlums hijacked the EndSARS protest in October 2020.

The Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this on Wednesday, January 6, said that the prison inmate was arrested following a tip-off received by policemen that a middle-aged man was seen around Angulis area of Agbado, and that his look and conduct were suspicious.

He added that when interrogated, Ogbeh confessed to being an escapee from the White House prison in Edo State and relocated to Agbado to avoid being rearrested.
