A man, identified as Chinedu Omeonu, has allegedly killed his cousin, Solomon Monday Orji, over mangoes in Mgboko Umuoria, Abia State.
Trouble started this morning when Monday’s son went to Omeonu’s house to pick some mangoes but ended up being flogged till he was unable to walk back home.
When words got to his dad, he rushed down to confront Omeonu and they exchanged some bitter words. .
However, as he picked up his son and turned his back to leave, his cousin attacked him with a cutlass, leading to his death shortly after.
The suspect was subsequently apprehended by the youth of the community, who tortured him before handling him over to the police. [Swipe to view GRAPHIC images].
