Businessman narrates how a policewoman rough-handled him after allegedly collecting N20k
A man identified as Badmos has accused a female officer of the Nigeria Police Force of hara§§ment and extortion in Lekki, Lagos.
According to his account, he was accosted by an officer near Shoprite at Ikate, Lekki, who accused him of v+olating a traffic light rule an allegation he strongly denied. Despite his protests, Badmos claimed the officer forcefully extorted ₦20,000 from him in cash.
He further alleged that the officer str¥ck him with a plank during the encounter, leaving him shaken. Seeking redress, he reported the matter at a nearby police station, but said he was only met with pleas from officers who urged him to “let the incident slide.”
The allegation has since drawn reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the continued reports of police misconduct despite repeated calls for reform.
