Atiku Acts Like Presidency Was Prescribed by a Doctor — Nyesom Wike’s Aide, Lere Olayinka
Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of being consumed by his desire to become Nigeria’s president.
Olayinka made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television, following Atiku’s announcement of his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He didn’t hold back in his criticism of the former party leader.
“The only thing that interests Atiku Abubakar is to become Nigeria’s president. I’m beginning to wonder whether a doctor prescribed ‘presidency’ for him, and if he doesn’t become president, something will happen to him,” Olayinka said.
Describing Atiku’s departure from the PDP as overdue, Olayinka blamed him for the party’s dwindling fortunes in recent years.
“Good riddance to bad rubbish. Today, the PDP has been so destroyed and damaged by this one man, Atiku Abubakar, who is now gone,” he said.
“When highly spirited members of the party come together to rebuild the party, Atiku should not come back after he has failed in his new political journey because I know he is going to fail.”
