K1 the Ultimate Expresses Disappointment in Alhaji Kollington Ayinla Over His Mother’s Funeral

Fuji music legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 the Ultimate, has expressed disappointment in Fuji pioneer Alhaji Kollington Ayinla for failing to show support during his mother’s funeral.

K1, speaking during an interview on Agbaletu TV, revealed that he felt deeply hurt by what he considered a betrayal from someone he had once supported during similar moments.

“The only reason I’m angry at Alhaji Kollington is because when his mother and Barrister’s mother died I was there for them,” K1 said. “But when my mother died, Alhaji Kollington gave an un‑genuine excuse of ‘I called you and you didn’t pick up.’”

The music icon recalled his efforts to honour Kollington’s mother, highlighting that he mobilized top dignitaries and personally handled the funeral expenses.

“I moved everybody. The whole world stood out. I moved Governor, I moved deputy governor, the deputy governor was on seat. I did everything, I handled the finance hundred percent,” he said.

Expressing disbelief, K1 questioned how Kollington, who was healthy and present in the country at the time, could completely ignore the burial ceremony.

“What could have happened that made him not attend my mother’s burial? I want to know,” K1 asked.
