This comes as Senator Ali Ndume raised alarm over Boko Haram’s control of at least three Borno communities—Gudumbali, Marte, and Abadam—where he claims, “there is no civil authority… the authority is Boko Haram.”
Ndume, during a Channels TV interview, said over 250 att+cks have occurred in Borno since November, resulting in the d+aths of more than 100 soldiers and nearly 300 civilians. He emphasized, “Things are getting worse. The president should declare a state of emergency… enough of business as usual.”
Governor Babagana Zulum had earlier echoed similar concerns, warning that renewed Boko Haram att+cks and k+dn@pping are pushing Borno to the brink.
