Journalist Kemi Olunloyo Shares Why She Has Turned Down Condolences After Her Father’s Passing
Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has turned down condolences after her father’s passing.
She shared that her childhood was filled with p+in, including emotional and physical hardships. Kemi also spoke about issues like supposed dark rit¥als and infidelity that contributed to the struggles within her family.
In a viral video she shared on her Instagram, Kemi Olunloyo addressed those who expressed their condolences, asking them to visit her late father’s Facebook page instead.
She shared her long history of s¥ff£ring, claiming that her father had caused significant h+rm to their family through his ab¥sive behavior, dishonesty, and p@@r choices. She also mentioned a t£rrible event that left her younger brother severely inj¥red.
Kemi alleged that she had a hard childhood event when her father’s selfishness led to her been mol+st£d s+x¥ally while her brother was paralyzed.
At 13, Olunloyo recounted, her family was set to travel to Lagos, but her father delayed them for hours, claiming he was at work. Her mother warned against the late trip, but he insisted.
“We left late, and on the way, h++dlums att+cked us,” she shared. A rock was thrown into their car, h+tting her 8-year-old brother, Tayo, and the driver, who d+ed instantly. The assailants then b¥nt the vehicle with the children inside. A rescuer pulled Kemi out, but she h+t her head on the pavement and was forced to watch her brother b+rn alive. She claimed she was then s+x¥ally a§§a¥lted before being rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where she received 17 stitches.
Years later, Olunloyo discovered her father’s delay that day was due to an affair. “He lied. He was sl++ping with his mistress while we waited,” she said, her voice laced with bitterness. “My a§§a¥lt all of it was his fault.”
Declaring she would never forgive him, Olunloyo made it clear she felt no grief over his passing. “I am not mourning. Send your condolences to his Facebook if you want. I’m still healing from the tra¥ma he caused.”
