TikToker Peller Sparks Reactions for Calling Runtown an ‘Upcoming Artist’
Popular TikToker Peller is facing heavy criticism after dismissing Afrobeats star Runtown as an “up-and-coming artist” during a recent livestream.
While discussing potential collaborations, his co-streamer suggested Runtown, but Peller sharply turned her down.
“Wetin be Runtown? That one never blow. We no know am. Give me another person. Don’t bring upcoming artists on my live video. Na artistes wey don blow well well I want,” he said.
Runtown, one of the most influential Afrobeats voices, has contributed immensely to the genre, from his 2014 breakout hit Gallardo to the global success of Mad Over You in 2016.
