Senate President Godswill Akpabio has dismissed claims of a strained relationship with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, following allegations that he deliberately snubbed her wedding. Speaking to journalists, Akpabio clarified that he was not in attendance because he was resting in a Dangote Cement factory at the time.
“I wasn’t at the wedding because I was sleeping in a cement factory,” he stated, without elaborating further.
His remarks have since sparked reactions, with many questioning the unusual excuse. Meanwhile, Senator Natasha has yet to respond to the controversy.
