Ijaw Leader and Former Minister Edwin Clark Dies at 97
Elder statesman Edwin Clark, a former federal commissioner for information and a prominent Ijaw leader, has passed away at the age of 97.
In a statement, the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo, Delta State, confirmed that the ex-senator died on Monday, February 17, 2025
Until his death, Clark served as the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and remained a strong voice for the Niger Delta region.
