Hudson Meek, a teenage Hollywood actor known for portraying a young version of Ansel Elgort in the 2017 movie Baby Driver, has tragically passed away at 16 after a car accident.
The incident happened on December 21 when Meek reportedly fell from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, where he was a high school student.
According to WTVM 13 News, the accident occurred late Thursday evening, December 19, at around 10:45 p.m. Meek was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to severe blunt force injuries two days later.
His mother, Lani Wells Meek, announced his passing in a heartfelt Facebook post, stating, “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years were far too short, but he touched so many lives and left a lasting impact on everyone he met.”
In addition to Baby Driver, Meek’s acting credits include roles in the TV series MacGyver (2016) and films such as The Santa Con, The School Duel, and 90 Minutes in Heaven. Outside of acting, he was an active member of his school football team and participated in church youth activities, including mission trips and retreats.
