The President-Elect of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, State House in Abuja on Monday, December 16, 2024.
Mahama emerged winner in Ghana’s recent presidential election with 56 per cent of the votes. He was warmly received by President Tinubu and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
Mahama’s victory marks the end to eight years of leadership under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The courtesy visit opened up an opportunity for the two West African leaders to discuss regional cooperation, bilateral relations, and shared challenges within the sub-region.
