N110 billion fra¥d: Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello set to spend Christmas and new year in Kuje prison as case is adjourned to February 25, 2025

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered the remand of the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in Kuje prison.

Justice Maryann Anenih issued the remand order on Tuesday, December 10, after adjourning Bello’s trial to February 25, 2025.

The decision followed the dismissal of Bello’s application for bail, which he filed pending the determination of the case against him.

Bello, who governed Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, is facing trial for his alleged involvement in a N110 billion fraud.
