Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhydeen Bello, passes on at 84

A popular Islamic scholar and renowned preacher, Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, has passed away at the age of 84 years on Friday, December 6, 2024.

An Ibadan-based cleric,Sheikh Akewugbagold Taofeek, revealed the demise of the Oyo state-born Sheikh ta Facebook post on Friday.

“Today is one of my saddest days ! My father and mentor, has returned to his creator. SULTONUL WAHIZEEN of Yorubaland Sheikh muhyideen AJANI BELLO,may Allah be pleased with your soul. Aljannah fridaos for you . Our heart is full of grief and our eyes full of tears but we will say nothing but what will please our Creator the sole commander of life and death – ALLAH,” he posted.

Sheikh Bello’s son, Alh Basit Olanrewaju Katibi Bello, popularly known as Aponle Anobi, also confirmed the demise of his father in a social media post on Friday.

He posted crying emojis with a picture of the Sheikh but did not provide any other details
