A woman has said God is too faithful to fail, as she shares her journey of carrying triplets to full term despite being told by her consultant she might lose them due to her weight.
She said When they found out they were going to parents for the first time in three years of trying, their joy knew no bounds. They cred for several hours.
When It was time for antental a consultant dashed their excitement, they went into second trimester with intense fear. According to the consultant, she was very underweight to carry a triplet pregnancy. He further explained that, multiple pregnancies are high risks, how much more for someone underweight.
They asked what their options were and he said, “fetal reduction, What does that even mean?
He further explained that, it’s the selective termination of one of the babies. He made it juicy by saying he’ll terminate one of the two with same gender
They went home to read about selective termination and its risks. The risks are: fever, inf£ction from the procedure, early labour and even pregnancy loss.
They went back to him and told him about their concerns. In his words “well, even if you don’t reduce the fetous, you are likely to miscarry them or have them prematurely. And premature babies have severe developmental delay”
To say she was sad was an understatement. She told him, they would take their chance and they went home. They got home intensely worried. She told her church pastor at the time. God bless him He said, “don’t nurture those negative words, reject them. What your nurture grows. Instead proclaim your expectations”.
He’d pray with her and for her, anoint her every Sunday till the day their babies were born! God bless him
Their consultant sent them letters stating that they’re responsible for anything that happens to the babies as they refused the fetal reduction. He thought they got about two or three letters. He also said, they wouldn’t make it pass 24-26 weeks and if they get there it’s a miracle as they can put the babies in Nicu. She rejected it severely With all her passion.
She suddenly began to gain weight and she made it to 35 weeks and 5 days although 33 weeks is considered normal for triplet.. what a miracle.
