Nigeria’s Super Eagles hope of participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup is slowing fading away following a 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic on Monday, June 10.
The Super Eagles failed to win any of their first four games against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Benin in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers.
The Monday’s defeat moves Nigeria to the fifth place and Benin Republic to the first place in the six-team table.
