Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Chizoke Obiadada (54) and his son, Micheal Obiadada (17), over the d£ath of their neighbor’s wife, Tope Owoade.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, the incident happened in Ogijo area of the State, last Thursday. It was gathered that the victim was b+aten blue-black by the suspects when she confronted them on why they had to sit on one of the tables used for displaying her wares.
The statement reads, “Successive uncontrollable anger and arguments which snowballed into a quarrel, over sitting on a“worktable“ belonging to one Tope Owoade, 43,now deceased. A table the victim uses in selling “Pomo” stemmed an altercation for preventing her neighours from sitting on her work table causing a misunderstanding that has led to her demise.
The Divisional Police Officer of Ogijo has received a complaint from one Isiaka Owoade, the husband of the deceased. He narrated that on the 29th of March, 2024 when he returned from a journey his late wife informed him that on the previous day which was the 28th of March, 2024 at about 2030hrs his neighbors, one Chizoke Obiadada and his son, Micheal Obiadada, h@cked his wife in fits blows, b+ating her up mercilessly, by inflicting fatal inj¥ries on her which resulted in her bl+eding severely from the womb and in her pr+vate part after she cautioned the duo not to sit on the work table she uses to sell edible animal skin.
He stated that his wife was rushed to Main Frame Private Hospital and Kunle Hospital Atan Agowa, and she was rejected. He further stated that his wife gave up the ghost while she was being taken to a government hospital.”
