Police operatives in Bauchi State have arrested two students of the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University (ATbU), over alleged criminal conspiracy, culpable h%micide, and association with an unlawful c¥ltist society.
The suspects were arrested on February 18 alongside their accomplice, who’s a graduate of University of Jos.
The command’s spokesman, Ahmed Wakili, in a statement on Friday, February 23, identified the suspects as Hoomvez Martins Nyelong, 27, aka “Slim”, Daniel Audu Adamu, 26, and Maigari Inuwa 29, aka “Mega Fashion World”
Their arrests followed a distress call received on February 18 from one Abubakar Shehu (pseudonym), a 45-year-old resident of Kuhu village in Durum ward, Bauchi Local Government Area.
The said Shehu reportedly discovered the corp§e of an unidentified deceased young man in a bush in the outskirts of Kuhu village.
Responding swiftly, the Patrol Team from C Division was said to have evacuated the body to the ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi, where a medical examination confirmed the victim’s d£ath.
The Spokesman revealed further that another distress call was received at 5pm on the same day reporting another corp§e discovered in the same location.
He mentioned that exhibits recovered at the scene include: pieces of razor blades, empty bottles of water, empty bottles of alcohol, empty sachets of water, candles, sticks with blood stains and torn short trousers…(swipe to continue reading)
