The masked men were armed with g¥ns and expl%sives when they stormed the studio and held the news anchors ho§tage on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

This comes after president Daniel Noboa issued a decree declaring that the vi%lence-plagued country had entered an “internal armed conflict.”

The men armed with pi§tols and what looked like sticks of dynamite entered the set of the TC Television network in the port city of Guayaquil during a news program that was airing live in thousands of homes across the nation and shouted that they had b%mbs, NPR News reports.
